# Start from a template
Templates are finished characters made by Vivix. Pick one and you have a working character in seconds, ready to try out or reshape into your own. It's the quickest way to see what Agent can do.
## Built-in templates

| Toffee | A golden British Shorthair who chats with you and moves like a real cat. |
| Rosie | Sings and dances, changes outfits, and chats with the audience. |
| AlleBrean | Hosts a live shopping show: presents products one by one, changes scenes, and shows try-ons. |
| Charlie | A fitness coach who guides you through workouts and demonstrates each move in the gym. |
| Vespera | A blackjack dealer who chats with players while running the game at the table. |
We add new templates from time to time, so you may see more than the ones listed here.
## Create a character from a template
Sign in to [platform.vivix.ai](https://platform.vivix.ai) and click **Agents** in the left navigation. The template cards are below the message box. Scroll the row sideways to see all of them.
Click a template card. Agent creates a new project with your own copy of that character and opens it.
The agent starts by explaining what the template can do, and most templates suggest a few next steps. Click a suggestion to put it in the message box, fill in the parts in brackets, such as `[identity or occupation]`, and send it. Nothing is sent until you click send.
Open the **Live preview** panel and click **Talk to character**. The conversation only starts when you click it.
## Make the template your own
Keep chatting to change anything about the character. Here are some ideas for each template:
Attach a photo of your pet, then send:

My pet's name is [pet name]. Use the pet photo attached to this message to update Toffee's appearance, preserving [most distinctive features]. Update the character's name, overall appearance, four-legged movement, and expressions so the digital pet looks and behaves like my pet.

Plan a performance for Rosie around [song or theme] for [target audience]. Update the opening, performance order, choreography, audience interactions, and on-screen menu while keeping her appearance and voice consistent.

Click **Upload product media** in the welcome message to open the product form. You can add up to 12 products. Only the name is required, and you can also add a price, a link, a description, and up to 8 images or MP4 videos for each product. The products AlleBrean already presents are filled in for you. The **Model image** field holds the host's photo; it starts with AlleBrean's current look, and you can replace it.
Click **Submit to agent** when you're done, and the agent updates the show with your products.

Templates are also good examples to learn from. Vespera shows a character using a game next to her; see [Build an app the character can use](/agent/capabilities/app). Rosie and AlleBrean show planned shows with songs or products in a set order; see [Perform specific content](/agent/capabilities/performance).
When you're happy with the character, click **Share** in the preview panel. Choose **Copy link** to get a link to its page, or **Share to community** to list it publicly.
